Sandy Beach East
ALL LEVELSThe seabed here swaps jagged rock reefs for banks of golden-beige powder — making this the most forgiving break in Rincon. Widely seen as an all-level beach, it's also a goofy's dream: the lefts reign supreme and will get seriously long on any swell with NW in the channel.
Pool's
HEAVYA NE to NW swell plumps up the right point that works off the rocks on Pool's Beach. One headland around from Sandy Beach, this is a seriously heavy customer capable of holding 10+ foot with an offshore to stabilize. There are also some lefts in the middle of the bay.
Domes
WORLD-CLASSOne of the breaks that first put Puerto Rico on the map. Fitted out to handle the wildest N-NW winter swells, it's known for super-pitty rights that go from steep drop to barrel in seconds. Drop the swell a touch and Domes transforms into a more accessible break — steep but not gnarly, with rights and lefts that can look glassier than a glass factory with a SE offshore.
Maria's
LONG RIDESCome to Maria's for one of the longer rides in Rincon. An all-level break on smaller swells of 5–7 foot and a bigger beast over 8 foot, it loves those easterly trades which are offshore here. Anchored on the point closest to the lighthouse, it churns out right-hand shoulders that can peel for 100 meters if you find the pocket.
Dogman's
ICONICOne of the most exposed northern breaks in Rincon and one of the most iconic spots in the strip. Capable of holding well overhead on fearsome shallow reefs, it calms down to throw rippable walls that peel beautifully to the right. The wave is a bit sectiony — first fast and clean, then smoother and bowlier at its end.
Tres Palmas
BIG WAVEThe most iconic XXL break in the Caribbean. Needs at least 15 foot to even start showing its teeth — when it does, mere mortals should stay on the shoreline. Guns come out as pros charge colossal water walls with big open faces to the right. Offshores make it look even better, with spurts of whitewash fizzing off the crests.
